This category is open to any health and fitness service from a company based in Northern Ireland that supports the industry through innovation and enhancing the needs of its customers and their health and fitness.

3. Health & Fitness Retailer of the Year

This category is open to any ecommerce or store-based retailer of all sizes in the health and fitness industry that goes above and beyond for its customers. in Northern Ireland that supports the industry through innovation and enhancing the needs of its customers and their health and fitness.

4. Best Corporate Wellness Programme

Are you an organisation that leads the way in wellbeing for your employees? Do you encourage your employees to lead a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally? The winner of this category will demonstrate a complete health and wellbeing strategy. This could be providing gym memberships, activity tracking, team outdoors challenges, healthy eating, cycle to work schemes or mental wellbeing support / facilities.

5. Nutritionist / Dietitian of the Year

This category is open to any fully qualified Nutritionist or Dietitian from any sector who has made a positive change in the field of food and nutrition. You will be Nutritionist or Dietitian who is committed to empowering and educating your clients and the public about leading a healthy lifestyle through nutrition.

6. Community Engagement of the Year

This category will recognise a business, school, community group or individual that has gone above and beyond to promote health & fitness for the local community. Have you or your organisation  gone the extra mile to increase health and fitness awareness in the community which has had a positive impact. We want to hear from you.

7. Best use of digital / social media

This category recognises an individual or business who has used digital / social media to their advantage to grow clientele, share positivity and educate on the importance of health, fitness and wellbeing. Does your digital / social media demonstrate significant positive impact on people’s lives? Do you receive high levels of engagement from new and existing audiences?

8. Website of the Year

This category recognises an individual or business who has used their website to grow clientele, share positivity and educate on the importance of health, fitness and wellbeing. Does your website demonstrate significant positive impact on people’s lives? Do you receive high levels of engagement from new and existing audiences? Is your website easily accessible, user friendly and updated on a regular basis?

9. Excellence in Rehabilitation

This category will recognise an individual or facility dedicated to changing lives through rehabilitation. You or your organisation will be required to provide full details of the facilities or services you provide, the type of patients you treat, and the achievements made by yourself, staff and patients.

10. Yoga class of the Year

This category will recognise a studio, teacher or class that goes beyond just a class workout and is dedicated to highlighting the importance of creating a healthy mind and body for their clients. You should demonstrate your success to date, how you encourage and support clients and how you stay ahead of industry trends.

11. Pilates class of the Year

This category will recognise a studio, teacher or class that goes beyond just a class workout and is dedicated to highlighting the importance of creating a healthy mind and body for their clients. You should demonstrate your success to date, how you encourage and support clients and how you stay ahead of industry trends.

12. Fitness class of the Year

This category will recognise a studio, teacher or class that goes beyond just a class workout and is dedicated to highlighting the importance of creating a healthy mind and body for their clients. 13. Healthy Food Provider of the Year (sit in or online)

This category will recognise a Healthy Food Outlet that is continuously advocating a healthy lifestyle. You could be a sit in eating establishment or an online healthy meal service. You will demonstrate the range of food and beverages you provide, an innovative menu, exceptional customer service and business success.

14. Best Small Studio Gym

This category is open to a studio gym (independently run gym and operating from one site only) that goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional health and fitness service. You will probably be an owner-managed gym with a focus on small group exercise. What makes your gym stand out from the crowd? Do you provide excellent customer service to your members and clients?

15. Best Medium Sized Gym

This category is open to a medium sized gym (independently run gym and operating from one site only) that goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional health and fitness service. You will probably be an owner managed gym operating on one site. What makes your gym stand out from the crowd? Do you work as a team to provide excellent customer service to your members and clients?

16. Best Large Gym

This category is open to a large gym (either single site, running over multiple sites or part of a chain) that goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional health and fitness service. You could be a local gym running over several sites, or a national gym operating in NI. What makes your gym standout from the crowd? Do you work as a team to provide excellent customer service to your members and clients?

17. Gym Team of the Year

This category gives gyms the chance to showcase their team. Does your team work together to provide exceptional customer service and an experience for clients? Do they go above and beyond for members? Is the importance of health, fitness, well-being at the forefront of everything you do within the workplace? Does your team also support one and other, as well as the members?

18. Client / Member Transformation of the Year

This category gives gyms the chance to boast about their members’ achievements. Does your gym have a member who has overcome adversity or achieved a personal goal? You will need to provide details of the original goal, how it was achieved and what role your gym played.

19. Female Personal Trainer of the Year

This Award will be given to a qualified fitness professional who has shown huge enthusiasm and determination to improve the health and fitness of his clients. Please demonstrate success to date, how you encourage and support clients and how you stay ahead of industry trends. Please provide evidence of what you have done, goals achieved for clients, professional qualifications, and memberships. You must be qualified 12 months or more to enter this category.

20. Male Personal Trainer of the Year

This Award will be given to a qualified fitness professional who has shown huge enthusiasm and determination to improve the health and fitness of his clients. Please demonstrate success to date, how you encourage and support clients and how you stay ahead of industry trends. Please provide evidence of what you have done, goals achieved for clients, professional qualifications, and memberships. You must be qualified 12 months or more to enter this category.

21. Online Personal Trainer / Coach of the Year

This Award will be given to a qualified online fitness professional who has shown huge enthusiasm and determination to improve the health and fitness of her clients. Please demonstrate success to date, how you encourage and support clients and how you stay ahead of industry trends. Please provide evidence of what you have done, and goals achieved for clients, professional qualifications and memberships. You must be qualified 12 months or more to enter this category.

22. Breakthrough Personal Trainer

This Award will be given to a newly qualified male or female fitness professional who has shown huge enthusiasm and determination to improve the health and fitness of his or her clients. You must be qualified 12 months or less to enter this category.

23. Innovation Award

Have you done something amazing in the past 18 months? You may have created or launched a new brand, product or service? Perhaps you have branched out into a completely new area of health / fitness within your gym that has added to the success of your business or perhaps you have expanded to multiple sites or taken your business online. This category celebrates innovation across the entire health, fitness and wellbeing industry.

24. Covid Champion / Lockdown Legend of the Year

This category will recognise an individual who truly embodies healthy living. An individual who may have used lockdown to inspire and motive people to better themselves and their wellbeing through improving their health and fitness. Are you someone who adapted your training methods to give clients the support they need, when face to face training was not an option? Outline how you achieved this.

25. NI Health & Fitness Person / Business of the Year (non-entry category)

This special award will be presented to the fitness professional whom the judges believe has dedicated their working life to the industry and who has, as a result, made a long-term outstanding contribution to the Health & Fitness Industry in Northern Ireland.
